Prayer to Keep Unity With The Lord, Prayer for February 24th

Prayer to Keep Unity With The Lord, Prayer for February 24th

O God, You are Creator and the Master of all.
I come and bring thanksgiving, my love, worship, and praise.
By Your hand come wondrous and good blessings to me.
Help me see that dependence must be wholly on You.
I ask for Your Fatherly hand upon my life.
Bless all of my undertakings and my duties this day.
Let me learn to consistently give up myself for You.
May all of my affections be only for You.
Keep me from the allurement of all vanity and pride.
May You be my protection from all evil and sin.
When I face the temptation to turn away from You
Then give my heart resolution, faith, and passion for Christ.
Show me all that separates me from Jesus my Lord,
So that I may establish how to remain near him.
And may I walk faithfully with him until he comes.

The Prayer Of The Father's Servant, Prayer for February 2nd

Prayer Of The Father's Servant, February 2nd

O, Lord, I rejoice to call you Father,
By Your grace, another day arrives.
I am so thankful for all Your mercies.
I seek Your pardon for my wrongdoings
And may You forgive all my weakness
Help my faith increase in Your great goodness
You give me blessings- may I bless others.
Grant me Your mercies when I face trials.
Make my eyes open to ways I can obey.
Show me the humble ways of the servant,
That I may inspire friends to seek Jesus,
To spread the Gospel to all the nations
That then this world will turn from evil,
And bring You honor and give You glory.

Prayer Of The Noble Servant
February 23rd

I thank You Father for this morning
And how rest renews my poor spirit.
I ask for guidance and Your wisdom
That I may fulfill this day's duties.
Let me not stumble but to endure
And be found worthy if I'm tested.
Teach me to respect Your dread anger
And to find purpose in Your goodness.
When tested regard my great weakness
And in my trials grant me patience,
Let not my temper be my master
Nor a word uttered give me regret.
Let me find virtue in my neighbor
And see him fashioned in God's image-
For whom Christ suffered as his ransom.
May I stay loyal to the Gospel,
And not bring disgrace to my Savior
By act of folly or word spoken.
May my actions  please You today
And in some little way bless others.

Let Nothing Come Between Me And God A Prayer For February 25

LET NOTHING COME BETWEEN ME AND GOD,  A Prayer For February 25

My Gracious Father who dwells in heaven,
Your blessed presence fills all the world,
You perform awesome deeds and great wonders,
May worship ascend to You with reverence,
Please accept grateful praise that I offer,
May mankind acclaim that You are worthy,
You blessed people with life and spirit.
Then redeemed sinners by Your son's dying.
To purchase payment there at dread Calvary.
Your Holy Spirit must guide me today.
And expose evil that my heart treasures,
Let sorrow become the way to penance,
Please forgive errors that gives sin comfort.
And remove wicked ways from my being.
Oh, Father forbear my times of weakness.
You've begun working to make me better.
Make humble prideful ways that seek control
Let ego's vanity take a low status,
And esteem others to be more worthy,
Then gently direct my path to service.
When affections waver for Christ my Savior
Then refresh vision of my Lord's passion.
Let nothing hinder my love for Jesus,
As nothing hinders his love for sinners.

All About God, A Prayer. February 21

All About God, A Prayer for February 21

O God, Your will conquers all
And that goodwill comforts me.
From Your hand, all blessings come.
You are wise and without fault.
It is You who alone rules.
All About God
Prayer for February 21
I can't help but enjoy You
And spend my time serving You.
No one else can redeem man
Who else pays the judgment debt
To make new life freely mine?
But what can I offer You
And how can I repay You?
I can give you worthy praise!
If good be found within me
It is by Your power, Lord,
And your grace is growing it.
I will be all about God-
Keep me when doubt confronts me,
Help me find the correct way.
Let my will be solely Yours.
May my all be only You.

A Prayer of Worship And Self-dedication. A prayer for February 13

A Prayer of Worship and Self-dedication, For February 13th

O, My Father, God full of power,
I am grateful that I may approach.
Once a veil kept us far apart,
But by Jesus' death, it was severed,
Now the entrance to You is granted.
I am joyful in Christ, my Redeemer,
And the matchless love You have bestowed,
And the blessings I do not deserve.
I am thankful for Your Word promises
That Your Spirit will be my helper,
To give guidance, and be my comfort.
May Your holy will be my passion;
Let its keeping be my sole desire.
When I'm tempted, give me Your power
That I resolve to turn sin away;
For it restricts me from Your presence,
Sin will ruin me in this world
And rob blessings from me in heaven.
Help me commit to You my talents.
Guide my goings- for I will wander.
May I always bring Your name glory
In all conduct, thought, and my service.
May You accept my heart's poor homage
And these feeble words of worship.

I suggest you read this a few times and then pray it in your own words. You may print a copy to take with you or bookmark this page and come back to it during the day to reflect on its thoughts.

Thankful for The Cross
Prayer for February 23

Almighty Lord
Your grace is measureless.
I worship You
For who You are
And for all you have done.
I praise You for Jesus,
The more I know Jesus
The more he is to me.
The death he died
Should have been mine;
I am in awe,
It makes me contrite
That he bled there for me.
Because of the cross
I adore you;
It gives me hope,
And is my victory
Over all evil.
Keep me walking
With You
Bearing my own cross.
Help me live daily
In such a way as to
Give You honor and glory.
May I be a blessing to others
That they too may see
Your love is clear
In the cross.

Prayer To Serve God in Daily Living. February 15th.

A Prayer To Serve God In Daily Living, A Prayer for the Day of February 15

I praise you, My God and Father
Of our Lord Jesus Christ,
He Who is the Great Shepherd.
When we, like sheep, had gone astray,
You put on Him our sin's judgment.
For this day's sin, I seek cleansing
Which comes through the blood of Jesus,
May His name always cause worship.
May my life show I am grateful
As I serve Him who is worthy.
May I with joy keep Your commands
As one who works for Your Kingdom.
Show me the path of the righteous
That I may walk with the humble-
Who know to serve You is blessing.
Give me strength, grace, faith, and guidance;
And make me true in my actions.
May I be one who is faithful,
As a light in this dark world,
And for Christ a true herald.
Help me to be kind and tender;
Show me how You would treat others.
Now fill me full with Your Spirit
That I may know You in power.
Help me to live for the coming
Of Him who is the Chief Shepherd.

The Gift of the Day a Prayer February 3rd

Prayer for Gift of the Day,
Prayer for February 3rd

My Divine Father and God of my soul,
I begin today with true words of thanks.
Your loving kindness has no point of end.
I'm grateful because You will be with me.
I depend upon you from dawn to night.
Your presence alone is what gives me joy.
Give fearless boldness to my heart and mind,
Cause chorus refrains to come from my heart.
Keep rashness away from all of my acts.
Make kindness abide in my words and thoughts.
And prevent regrets that are born of sin-
But provide guidance to do what is good.
All common duties I do as for You
As living actions that show I love you.
Let living today be my gift to You.
And thereby honor You who gave me life.

I hope you are able to use this short poem prayer as meditation or reflection.  You might want to read it a few times and then bring your own words and thoughts to your prayers.

May I Help Your Needy, a Prayer for February 19

May God Help The Needy, a Prayer for February 19

May God Help The Needy
Prayer for February 19

Father in Heaven, thank You for this day
May I look up to You in faith for aid.
Keep me from vanity's deceitfulness.
Help me remember Your purpose for me;
That in serving You gives me meaning.
Teach me to always do what pleases You.
Give me the humble heart of a servant,
For serving others, I truly serve You.
The world today has so many needs,
You have given me gifts to meet those needs.
Free my hands that I may do acts of good.
Clear my eyes to see others as worthy,
Beautiful and treasured by God.
May I follow Christ's example of love;
A love that is active, sacrificial, and giving,
Help me show kindness to others this day.
Let me be light to all those I meet.
So that they and I may give You glory.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27 NIV©

The world is a needy place. The answer to the need is that God's people are filled with his spirit and obey his command to love and serve. God loves the lost people, and therefore, so should we. We are his expression of love to mankind. We express this love in acts of service. If God's spirit is in us, these acts will be humble and have the esteem of others at its core. It is only through God that we can truly love others.

Prayer For The Spirit to Fill Me, Prayer for February 8

Prayer For The Filling of The Holy Spirit. Prayer for February 8

Oh God, my Father in Heaven
I do not know how to pray,
But your Word says your Spirit abides
To help in our infirmities,
And teach us to pray as we should;
I know he prays on my behalf.*
I surrender myself to you
For I am one who is empty.
Cleanse me of sin by Jesus blood
That your Spirit may work through me;
May he rest on me in power.
Let him enlighten my thoughts,
And fill me with love for You.
May he give comfort in trials
And strengthen me in temptation;
Let him guide me in all your ways,
And to direct my every step.
Let your Spirit guide my worship,
That I may live as a sacrifice;
And as an acceptable offering.

I do not intend these poems to be prayed verbatim. Think of this as a guided meditation and reflect on the thoughts it presents.  When you are comfortable with the ideas and themes then pray to God in your own words.

A little commentary:
We must be careful not to allow sin in our lives lest it quenches the Spirit. (1 Thessalonians 5:19). The spirit leads us in righteousness so our lives may be of service to God.

A prayer for Daily Guidance, A Prayer for February 5

A Prayer For Daily Guidance, Prayer for February 5

Heavenly Father and true God,
You are all-wise and all-knowing.
I humbly bow before You;
Confident in Your love and grace
And thankful for Your great power.
This day is an unknown path-
Forbid I compromise today,
And miss out on your best for me.
Give me courage, and faith in You,
Help me to hold true to your words
"I will in no wise fail you
Or forsake you."* (What a promise!)
I place myself in Your holy hands
And ask for protection from evil.
Guide me in the way I should go.
Keep thoughts of You before my mind.
Show Yourself to me more clearly
Through the events of the day.
Grant that I may know Your good peace,
And help me to live out this day
In a way that honors Your name.

Deuternomy 31:6

A little commentary: I suggest you read this a few times and after you are comfortable with the things it says then pray it in your own words.

Prayer of Confession. Prayer for February 22

A Prayer of Confession, For February 22

Father in Heaven I give You thanks.
You are a kind Father and true friend,
Each day You are taking care of me.
In spite of Your goodness, I still sin.
In Your great mercy, You forgive my wrongs.
I sin easily for I am weak.
Wash my sin away by Jesus' blood.
I accept forgiveness through his name
And in his sacrifice on the cross.
I cast myself upon You for strength,
In your power I resist evil.
Make me true to the call of Jesus.
Make me more Christ-like in my actions,
Let my words be pure, just, and holy.
May love for Your kingdom fill my heart.
Let Your Spirit bring me revival,
And may revival inflame Your church.
May Christ be recognized and honored
By all men who seek to know the truth.
Let all walk in the love of Jesus
And dear fellowship with the Father.

If we confess our sins God is faithful to forgive our sins. The only way our sins can be forgiven is by the blood sacrifice of Jesus who paid for our sin on the cross.

Prayer for the Homeless, Prayer for Feb 7

Prayer For The Homeless, Prayer for February 7

Thank You, Father, God of all Love,
You have given me such rich blessings.
Do not let Your good mercies blind me
That I don't see my brother in need.
For some the loving home is a dream;
To some, it is a mournful regret,
Give them a good place of warmth and light.
Remember the wayward and lost ones-
Those who are bereft of shelter.
Be merciful to the wanderer;
To the troubled and restless give peace.
Show compassion to the orphan one.
Set good food before the hungry one.
Bring good companions to the friendless.
Comfort those far from families' love.
Reward the victim who has seen wrong.
Oh,
Infinite Compassionate God
May Your message of love come to these.
Let Your gospel of new life change us,
And make ready the hands of good men
To lift burdens off of their brothers.

We must pray for those who are not as fortunate as ourselves but we also must be the hands of the Lord and lift the burdens of our brothers, therefore it is as much a prayer for ourselves as it is for the needy. Jesus said, "As much as you have done it to the least of these it is as if you had done it unto me." Matthew 25:40. The Gospel changes lives and we hope it changes the lives of the poor, but more importantly is that it changes our lives to be a blessing and load lifter to the poor brothers.

A Prayer of Gratitude February 1

A Prayer of Gratitude

A Prayer for February 1

My Father in Heaven
I Come with deep gratitude
And a heart full of love
You have shown me kindness
And faithfulness always;
Though I am not faithful
You are the Faithful One
Who gives daily mercies.
Father,
I Thank you for Your care,
For giving me guidance,
And rescue when I call;
For providing for me
Each day and every way.
Above all other gifts
I thank you for Your love
And compassion to me.
I sin so easily
Yet I can find pardon
By asking forgiveness;
Through the blood of Jesus.
You watch over me
So I have no need or want;
But this one desire-
And this is my request
May the image of Christ
Be formed true in my heart.*

A Prayer For Guidance A Prayer for February 28

This prayer for February 28 is about humility and dependence is like a poem.

It asks God to guide and to protect from error and ends with a declaration of devotion.

Read it a few times and then offer it to Our Heavenly father in your own words.

A Prayer For Guidance
For February 28

Our Father, who rules all heaven,
You control all earthly events;
I am Your dependent child
Look upon me with Your favor.
I join those who bring You worship
And thank You for all Your blessings,
I treasure Your care so tender.
You have designed the road I tread,
And have walked it ahead of me.
Lead me by Your wise counsel.
Guard me lest I start to wander.
Make clear which path that I should take.
Let Your light shine in my thinking.
Guide me to choose that which is right.
Help me to speak the fitting word;
Give me Your strength when I'm tempted,
Cleanse my heart from self-importance.
Free me from each impure motive.
May I bear Your name before men,
And bring no shame onto Your cause.
Let my ways be guided by love,
May I strive to show compassion.
In joy- or want- You are my God.
I dedicate my life to You,
And to the service of Your cause.
Through Jesus Christ my loving Lord.

"Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day." Psalm 25:4-5 KJV

A little commentary:
You may print this poem-prayer for your personal use. All of our ways, both subjective and objective, are known by the Lord. He does not tempt us, the temptations we face are from other sources such as our own sinful natures, the world, and satin. We look to the Lord for guidance and find his counsel in his written Word, the Bible, and any subjective feelings must be measured by that same Living Word. The decisions we face are often hard but must still stand the test of whether our choices meet God's approval, and we do well to use the love of God and others as a guide. God is willing to guide us in our decisions.

A Prayer for Daily Light, A Prayer For February 16

Prayer For Daily Light.
Prayer for February 16

O, Heavenly Father, I thank you
For bringing me before a new day.
As I face its opportunities
I pray for guidance, wisdom, and love.
You draw a shroud over human eyes
To obscure what each day will bring forth,
As I enter the fog of this day
I ask for Your clear light to guide me.
I don't know what evils I shall meet
Or what duties shall require me,
What temptations may stumble me;
Yet I know that with Your divine help
I will stand as victor before all-
But only through Jesus who loves me,
Keep me, as I wander this world.
Be my understanding and comfort.
Give to me Your wisdom for the day.
Help me to put away every sin.
Give me a humble spirit at all times.
Give me Your power to serve others.
May I do good to those who I meet,
And forgive any who offend me.
May I work only for Your kingdom
And hasten the day of its coming.
In Jesus' name, I bring my prayer.

We do not know what a day may bring but we do know we need God's guidance to show us the way. We all have many different challenges but through Jesus, we can overcome them. All our days have a purpose that has been predetermined by God. We know from the Bible that we were made for God's pleasure and glory so our purpose is fulfilled when we are focused on accomplishing things that glorify God, yet even so we still need his help to serve him.

The Prayer Of The Unworthy Disciple Prayer for February 10

The Prayer Of The Unworthy Disciple, A Prayer for February 10

Almighty God, I call You My Father,
It is a marvel that I may do so;
And in the strength of Your Name, I go forth
To meet the test and duties of this day.
May I become worthy of such blessings,
Which, despite my weakness, You give me.
Grant me compassion as I meet others,
May I have pity for all who are weak.
Let me revere that You died for them, too.
Clothe me with the armor of light and truth,
May I be a reflection of Your peace.
Make me dread with horror all evil thoughts.
Free me from each unholy desire,
May they be cast out of my feeble heart;
And give me a passion for holiness.
In all I do, may I seek Your pleasure.
Help me to follow the teaching of Christ.
Keep back danger, mortal and spiritual.
Guide me to faithfully choose life's right way;
And when the efforts of my life are done
May I come to My Father's house in peace.
By the power of Jesus' name, I pray;

I hope this is an encouragement. I suggest one meditate on this and pray the ideas in their own words.

We are all unworthy, but not all are disciples, though many are believers. There are so many blessings that we are not worthy of, blessings that are spiritual, and blessings that we can touch and feel. No doubt, the greatest blessing is that our Lord Jesus came to die on the cross to pay for our sins; we do not deserve him to do that for us. We need to be a blessing to others; it is the only logical response to God's blessing to us. To be a blessing to others, we need to be walking in close fellowship with our Lord, and here I bring up the issue of our sins breaking our fellowship to God and robbing us of the power to be a blessing. We ignore the need for holiness in our lives; it is almost a dirty word even in church circles, but we must judge our sins down to the thought levels where they have their roots. We need God to guide us daily, not just in big decisions. We need to keep our lives focused not on the here and now but on serving God and his kingdom.

Prayer For A Difficult Day A Prayer for February 22

Prayer For A Difficult Day. Prayer for February 22

You set before me a new day,
With countless opportunities;
And much potential to do good.
You have already filled this day
With your bountiful provision.
When I ponder today's duties
I will ask for Your guiding hand.
Let me not face today's struggles
Without Your strong upholding arm.*
Let me not make foolish choices
By failing to seek Your counsel.
When I am in desperate danger
I will rely on Your strong arm.+
If today, You grant me success
I will praise You for such mercy.
If You let today end poorly
I will declare Your will is good;
And know Your plan for me is love.
Though it may be a day of dread
I rejoice to see Your will done;
I will show the love of my God
That is as bright in tragedy
As when peace shines like a spring dawn.
If all of my world crumbles
I will declare God rules wisely
When this hard day is finished,
(Be it for joy or my sorrow),
May all I have done bring Him praise
As I give thanks to God, my King
The sure Rock that will never move.

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
    he delivers them from all their troubles.  Psalm 34:17

*Psalm 20:6  + Isaiah 41:10

We all face difficult and even tragic days. I hope this little prayer helps. God is watching with loving eyes. He has a plan for each season, and his plan is for our good. He is the rock that won't be moved so we can stand confidently on him. There are many purposes in our difficult days. Sometimes, we need to avow that no matter what, we will choose to love God and serve him. Sometimes, we need to grow out of our own selves and mature. We do not know all the counsels of God, but he is good, and though it sounds trite and overused, it is still true - we need to trust him. When it is over and done with, we need to resolve no matter what, God is still worthy of praise and service.

Prayer for Feb 17 The Prayer of The Everyday Disciple

The Prayer of The Everyday Disciple
Prayer for February 17

Heavenly Father of Creation,
My God who alone saves sinners;
I come before You as Your child,
To bring the sacrifice of praise,
And the worship of thanksgiving.
You alone are my Creator.
Your love is the light of my life.
Your grace is the strength of my heart.
Keep me from forgetting Your love,
And Your righteous claims upon me.
May I welcome my daily task
And do all my work in Your sight.
May I face my troubles boldly,
And bear my burdens joyfully.
Help me to resist temptation,
Especially those in my thoughts
And in my imagination.
Give me resolve to oppose sin,
And fill me with the conviction
That all things work together
For the good for those that love you.*
May I have a heart made mature
By your kind loving discipline.
Prepare me to do any service
To show my love for my Savior.
Fill me with the mind of Jesus.
Awake me, that I may seek first
Your kingdom and Your righteousness.**
May I understand Your good will,
And know that Your best awaits me.
In Jesus, my Lord's name, Amen.
