Singing Stones, a Poem

Singing Stones
A Poem About Living

Like rocks
Sleeping through the night
Hardened hearts lay
Beneath the ice crust
Bitterly awaiting
A thaw from a sun
That rose on Easter
When an angel moved
The stone away from death;
When He who made rocks
And formed blood for hearts
Tread scarred feet
Upon the garden pebbles.
May our hardened hearts
Be touched
By the scarred hands
And may the hardness
Thaw into flesh;
Until like the children
We too sing, Hosanna,*
Blessed is the one
That came from above.

Luke 19:40
