Prayer for September 26th

You are my God, my King, and Father,
All bow to You as Lord and Master
I thank You for Your great goodness.
In You, I live, move, and have my being.
Out of Your great love, You sent Christ Jesus,
By whose death is my hope for Heaven
In Your love, I find my comfort.
I look to You in my weakness,
You are my hope in days of despair,
In your strength, I find courage.
May I be filled with love for Christ Jesus.
And walk through life by His spirit
Help me to live a life that is not selfish
And to live a life full of good service
So my acts will show Christ, my Savior.

A PRAYER OF FAITHFULNESS Prayer For September 19

I thank You Father for Your gracious care,
And for each morning that You've given me;
For life, food, clothing and my dwelling place.
May I come closer to you every day.
May I in gladness serve and follow You.
Keep me from selfish thoughts and petty ways.
Help me when tested, to show myself true.
If I should stumble may You comfort me
If I transgress may You forgive me
And if You permit the day of trouble near
May I prove steadfast and not reject You.
Help me spend today as if before You.
And to be careful to keep every trust.
Help me to obey and in gladness serve.
Let my life declare that I follow You
As my true Savior Lord and only King

The Prayer of a Kingdom Servant, A Prayer for September 20

Oh, my Father, may I bless Your name
I will extol You, my Lord and my king,
And lay before You, my heart and soul.
I will present You my words of praise,
But come only by the blood of Christ
To find pardon for my sins and wrongs,
For his merits are my grounds of hope.
May You accept my poor words of love.
May You create a new heart in me
With a spirit to walk in Your ways,
And be worthy to bear up Your cross.
You are holy, and You act in truth.
You are goodness and bless me with good
Who can measure the span of Your love!
Give me comfort in all these dark times.
Be the guidance through the days of gloom.
Give me wisdom to live each day well.
Make me worthy of all Your good gifts.
Give me open eyes to see the days
Are soon coming when You rule as King.
Let me labor with all of my heart
That Your kingdom may fill this dark earth.

"How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!" Hebrews 9:14.

Prayer for God's Compassion
September 22

You are God alone and no one else
There is no one beside You for me.
I thank You, my Father, that I can pray.
It is by Your goodness that You hear me.
By Your grace You provide all that I need,
And my soul is grateful for all Your love.
You have shown me blessings too great to count.
You have bestowed good on my way.
With joy I lay myself low at your feet.
I can't help but adore You for Your love
Thanks be unto God for the gift of life.
Thank You for my Savor who died for me.
I thank You for blessings that You give me
I pray for all others to know Your love.
I pray You show pity to those in need.
Look with grace on the lonely and sad souls,
Show Your grace and favor to the poor ones,
And to the stranger who is far from home,
And give to them every good thing they need.
It could be me hungry cold and lost.
Help me to not forget where my good comes,
For I, too, am never far from such needs.
It is by your mercy that I can stand,
Let me not fall because of the sin of pride.

A Prayer to See God More Clearly. September 28

A Prayer to See God More Clearly, a Prayer for September 28

Dear Father
I am made in Your image;
Designed for companionship
With You.
My greatest joy is
Your nearness.
Let me become more intimate with You.
Help me to surrender my needs to You.
Protect me from drifting
From Your care
Keep me from sin and its pain.
Help me to grow
Through today's trials
And to remain hopeful,
For You are daily deliverance.
When You give material blessings
Remind me
They come from Your hand.
Give courage when I need it,
And strength to perform my daily task
However small as service unto You.
May all these things become my teachers
So I may see You more clearly
Through them.

A Prayer of The Devoted Servant for September 11

The Prayer of The Devoted Servant, Prayer for the day of September 11

My God, my Father and my Friend,
In Your great wisdom, You made all.
And You have created me with love,
Made in Your image, to know You,
To give You glory and bring thanks.
It is true freedom  to serve You
To know You fulfills all of life
To praise You blesses my whole self.
Give me a childlike faith in You.
I want to daily know Your will
And grow in the knowledge of Christ;
He who is ever the same one
He is good, loving, true and light.
He will be always at my side.
Help me be faithful to his word.
Help me to follow where he leads,
And may his teaching guide my thoughts,
And may his spirit show me truth,
Oh,  Lord please forgive when I stray-
By the blood of Jesus cleanse my sin.
May I be useful for Your work,
And all my labors bring You praise.

The Prayer To Be True. A Prayer For September 21

The Prayer To Be True, September 21

You are my Heavenly Father and my God.
I now come humbly bringing You my heart.
You know my innermost feelings and my thoughts,
You know my affections, passions, and my loves,
You see what desires linger in my soul.
Free me from vanity's practice of wrong thought.
Where I have deceived myself that I'm good.
Keep me from divided interest in my life.
Where I act different- hiding the true me;
So friends' won't discover weakness in my faith.
But there is another person I would be-
One full of compassion, kindness, and true grace,
Who lives out understanding, mercy and shows peace.
May I be sincerely honest, kind, and good;
Help me be genuine before those I know.
Help me to consecrate myself to my Lord
That I may realize Jesus in my life,
And be an expression showing who he is;
The one who perfectly lived out the true.

A Thankful Prayer September 8

A Prayer of Thanksgiving. For September 8

My heavenly Father I thank You
For liberal blessings which You give.
For family, friendships and my health,
For safeguarding given when I slept,
For sustenance, clothing, and my home,
For employment wherein I may earn,
For creation's beauty that I see,
For national virtues in this land,
And forgiveness granted through Christ's blood.*
I meditate upon Your deep love,
And reactive thankful words fill me.
May gratefulness become my great song.
You motivate worship by Your gifts
And encourage noble acts of love.
Give instruction today for my life,
And uncover actions that show Christ.
Let wickedness submit to Your name,
Grant victory over sin this day.
Let numberless others find my Lord,
So brotherhood become the true way
And worshipers unite in pure thanks.

* In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance of the riches of God's grace. Ephesians 1:7.

May My Light Shine, A Prayer. September 27

May My Light Shine A Prayer for September 27

My God and Father I cling to you.
It is my greatest goal to please you
And show I'm grateful for the price paid
When Your Son Jesus died to save me.
It is my privilege to bring You praise
And its an honor to serve my Lord.
May my light brightly shine to show Christ
To all the others who long for life.
Help me to labor for You this day
In the place chosen for me by God.
Make me resist evil and stand for good.
Give me a deeper love for my Lord.
Fill me with virtue lest I bring You shame.
Where I err forgive and teach true ways.
When I must endure a time that tests
May I find power to help stand firm.
Give me a spirit of love for all men,
Let me show kindness to each I meet.
Show me the noble deed to be done
That brings to others some good this day.
May the same spirit be in me as in Christ
Who sought not pleasure but came to serve
And be the ransom for all who come.*

"Let your light shine before all men that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:16.

Prayer To See God Clearly, a Prayer for September 5

TO SEE GOD CLEARLY, A PRAYER FOR SEPTEMBER 5

I ask, Lord, help me to understand,
And give to my poor mind discernment.
To know You that is my desire.
There are times when You seem secreted;
Like You hide that You are beautiful,
Like a king, no one can recognize.
I am blind by my wrong conceptions,
All my thoughts of God seem mistaken.
Your ways are too high to understand.
May I see You with more clarity;
When You show that You are glorious
Then I have the light to apprehend.
I trust You to teach me patiently,
And purge my heart of each disbelief.
Thank You for the days of affliction;
For in them I saw Your reflection,
That You are the One who sanctifies,
And how You are He who delivers.
I see your heart through Christ's sacrifice
Where the way to God is revealed
When he was for sin an offering,
Whose blood pays the price of salvation;
And gives a life that is eternal.

Fellowship with God the Father. A Prayer for September 18

Fellowship With The Father, a Prayer, September 18

My beloved God, and my Father in Heaven.
I begin this day by counting my blessings
Which causes in me the longing to worship.
Let prayers I bring be fragrant as incense-
That declare You are God, worthy of glory.
My pathway this day may harbor dark dangers,
With pitfalls and some foul hidden foes unseen;
As Father, You prune the fruitful vine wisely,
And allow me to face trials with purpose.
When troubles come close, I desire Your presence
For knowing Your love gives comfort in darkness.
I submit now to your divine plan freely;
To follow Your will is better than treasure.
May choices I make find support in Heaven
And declare faith in your goodness and favor.
Cast open my mind to vistas of beauty,
And allow me to find places of service.
When twilight stars shine to signal day's closing
I'll reflect on a day filled with blessings,
And worship with words both humble and grateful.

Our Heavenly Father wants to be part of our day and our lives. He wants to guide, comfort and bless us. He wants us to trust him in faith and find him in each day.

Prayer to Honor God, September 10

A Prayer To Live In A Way That Honors God
A Prayer For September 10

My God and Father In Heaven
I am Your child and needy,
Made in Your image but broken.
Now I am redeemed by Jesus,
(By whose blood justice is answered).
Through grace I enjoy Your blessing;
And know You provide gifts daily,
Food, air, drink, shelter, and clothing;
All I have received You supply.
Come, by Your Spirit dwell within
And lead me unto all virtue-
For all too often I forget
You, and Your commands to obey.
I have no success in living
Except Your favor and blessing.
When I face trial and testing
Your grace will suffice and abound.*
Let my acts honor Your kindness
And bring You worship and glory.
May I live grateful and worthy
Of so much goodness and kindness;
And let my every deed proclaim
That I too belong to Jesus.

A Prayer of Devotion and Surrender. for September 23rd

This prayer/poem was written by a poet of faith and can be used as a reflective prayer, or as a meditation

I suggest you read this a few times and pray it in your own words, You may print a copy or bookmark the page so you can come back to it during the day.

I hope it blesses your day.

A Prayer of Devotion and Surrender

September 23

My Kind Heavenly Father, hear my words;
By his sacrifice, Jesus bought my heart,
His blood providing justice in Your court.
I make confession, claiming him as Lord,
Though I continue falling by the way;
He with compassion reaches out to me,
With grace perfectly measured for my need.*
May I contemplate Jesus who is truth,
With no confusion coming from vain thoughts,
Or those allurements finding me so weak.
I will surrender today to my God,
Let Your manifest Spirit show the way,
And give protection, watching all I do.
Let no remorseful action mar Your work,
So my reflection clearly shows my Lord.
Give an assignment wherein I may serve;
As a laborer doing his good part,
That will reveal Jesus as the hope
To those suffering under sin's dark chain.
May Your wondrous kingdom fill the earth
With love, brotherhood, mercy, and peace soon.

Prayer for My Family

A Prayer For My Home

I pray Father that you bless my home today.
Watch over us as we go about our way
As we walk through a world does not know you.
Guard each one of us when tempted to do wrong;
Keep our feet from wandering the paths of sin.
Help us to be generous with your blessings;
For you have been good to us in many ways.
Guard us from evil and keep us from folly.
Put bread on our table and flame in our hearth.
Fill our lives with your joy, peace, and contentment.
May we each live in obedience to you.
Give us a clean conscience toward you and others,
Show us our sins so we may cease doing them
And may we turn to you and find forgiveness.
Let us each know you in a personal way,
And experience your great power afresh.
Show each of us where to do great things for God,
And be the betterment of those here below.
I ask in the name of him who died for me,
And to the praise of My Savior- Lord Jesus.

A little commentary. I suggest you read this a few time you may even print it out and take it with you so you can think on the words during the day. I do not intend anyone pray this verbatim but find the thoughts to be the inspiration for personal prayer. To pray for our family and household is the greatest act of love we can do. We should not be ashamed to ask God for his blessing, all answered prayer is a blessing. We were taught in the Lord's prayer to ask for daily needs, and protection. I admit this is lacking worship and thanksgiving but is more as part of a body of prayer one may engage in that would include prayers of thanksgiving and worship.

________________________________________
You are welcome to print a few for your personal use.
If this has been a blessing would you consider a small gift to help keep it going?

Prayer of God With Me, September 16

A Prayer Of God With Me. A Prayer for September 16

Dear Eternal God, Father in Heaven
Walk beside me as I go out today
That together we may see its blessings
And meet any trials and temptations.
I come to You with my weakness
Give me strength and fortify my spirit.
Purify my motives, words, and actions.
Show me Your will in daily activities.
Give me courage to face difficulty.
Grant me true wisdom in circumstances.
Let my daily tasks be done unto You,
Whether commonplace or exalted,
May You be glorified in all I do.
Give me Your patience with others I meet.
Help me to forgive their wrongs against me,
Just as You offer mercy through Jesus.
May I be a blessing to what is good.
Let no evil succeed to trouble this day,
Or mar the work of Your spirit in me;
But may I keep unsoiled from the world,
As I follow Christ on this pilgrim path.
Watch over me until I finish my days.

Prayer of Thankful for Today, Prayer September 13

Thankful for Today  A Prayer for September 13

Dear Father in Heaven,
I turn my face to you
The first act of the day,
Grateful for Your care
Through the darkness of night.
I thank You for this day;
For food, home, and clothing.
Thank You for the blessings
Of serving Your kingdom
To which You have called me.
Thank You for health and strength;
For friends to love and serve,
And honest employment.
Above all I thank You
For Your great love to me
Made so clear on the cross;
Where You took away my sin
And gave me a new life
Through Jesus Christ, my Lord.
In his name may I live-
To be a thanksgiving.

We must be thankful for our blessings it is the moral and right thing to do. Thanksgiving is never redundant, old or out of fashion with God.

Affirmation of Life Prayer, September 9

A Prayer Of Affirmation Of Life, Prayer for September 9

Our Father, Who rules from the highest Heavens,
I thank You for past and recent mercies;
For sustenance, clothing, sleep, and shelter;
For the company of righteous men,
And for opportunities to serve my Lord.
Show me the duties these great blessings merit.
Grow my love for You and love to all I meet.
Give me grace to face the future with courage.
I believe in life beyond this weak body,
A life not intended for oblivion.
I believe that You gave each of us a soul,
Capable of all eternal bliss with You.
Therefore may I live a life that pleases You,
Guided by Your grace and worthy of Heaven.
Help me to draw others to see Your love
That they may accept Jesus as their Savior,
And to enjoy this same hope from today on.

This prayer has several statements that affirm the truths of the Christian Faith. Declaring and avowing belief in these truths are an act of worship in that they affirmed the righteousness of God.
It is appropriate to start the prayer with acknowledgment of God's greatness and thanksgiving for his blessings. To affirm the truths of our faith in and to declare our loyalty to God and his service should follow.

Prayer of the Devoted Disciple Prayer for September 3rd

The Prayer of The Devoted Disciple, Prayer for September 3rd

Father of Blessings, God of all the Good,
Show kindness to me, a mere lowly man.
Keep away things that call me from Your side.
Forgive my doubts in Your good purposes.
Give me courage to hold Your hand in faith.
I know You designed this day for my good.
Grant me the wisdom to live today well.
May I experience You in this day.
And honor You in every thought and deed.
Be gentle with my many weaknesses.
Give me the courage to choose to do good.
And though I stumble into new defeats
Forgive me when I ask You for mercy.
May I become more devoted to You,
And more zealous for the good of all men.
Cause me to remember You in all things
And to give You the true service of praise.
The Devote Disciple
Give me a passionate heart for men’s souls
So I may lift up those who are oppressed;
And embrace the sorrows of those who grieve
And to comfort the hearts of those who mourn.
When this day closes help me to find pause,
And remember all the blessings You brought.
I’ll present to You the service of thanks.
From a heart that You filled overflowing.

I like this honest and open prayer. There are many little truths that can help any disciple of the Lord Jesus. It is important to pray for our growth in devotion.  We often start our life of faith with zeal only to slowly give way to mundane disciplines; we need to often reaffirm to ourselves and God our devotion and move on to a mature passion. Devotion to God is empty without service to men who He created and loved. One of the most loving things we can do for others is to pray for them. Prayer must be coupled with lifting the burdens of others and leading them to a saving faith in Jesus. If we are not devoted to humankind we cannot say we are devoted to God.

A Pilgrim’s Morning Prayer - Prayer for September 24

A Pilgrim's Morning Prayer.

My Heavenly Father,
I thank You for Your care
Which kept me through the night.
Walk with me through this day
And please make me able
For  my everyday jobs.
You know what is ahead;
So I rest in Your hands
For there I am kept safe.
Place blessings on this day;
Only then I have hope
Of any successes.
Lord, care for the needy,
And to those who sorrow,
To the sick and dying .
Seek those lost in darkness;
Reveal Your Gospel
To every searching heart.
Renew righteous men’s souls
And give those men vision
For the need of the lost.
Holy God, of mercy,
Forgive my every sin,
And give me Your peace.
May I walk in such grace
Knowing that Your presence
Is my close companion.
At day's end may I reflect
On unsoiled conscience
Toward You and mankind.
Let me find comfort
That I came one more day
Toward my blissful home.
Worthy is the Lamb
That was for man's sin slain
To receive riches, praise,
And glory forever.

Adron

You might want to print this and read it a few times during the day and pray it in your own words. We are here on earth for only a short time and it is the only opportunity we have like this to do such service to God by so serving the people he created and loved. As we travel to the day we are taken to Heaven we should keep the hope of salvation before us and share that hope with all we meet. This poem form of prayer ends with praise to God and it is a good way to end our day and our time of prayer.

Prayer For The Inner Man. Prayer for September 15

 Prayer For The Inner Man, September 15

Father God, God of light and truth.
Help me to be faithful today;
To walk in integrity and truth.
Keep me from wandering from You.
May Your bright presence go with me
To watch over my mind and heart
And let no evil conquer me.
If I should battle temptation,
Give me the strength to overcome.
If I am tested by troubles
May I go boldly to meet them;
And in times of desperation
May I find power in Your strength.
Let no sin have control of me;
Even if it is for a moment.
Save me from becoming hardened
By transgression's deceitfulness,
Or blinded by its silky lies.
Make me kind in my opinions,
Tender-hearted in my feelings,
And loving in all my dealings.
Keep me from being impatient,
Grant me not to be ill-tempered.
Teach me to love that which is pure.
Whatsoever things are worthy,
Honorable, just, and lovely-
May I dwell on these things today.*
May I be more and more like You
And become less and less like me.
