And hasten the day when he shall return.

PRAYER OF THE WORSHIPING SERVANT
Prayer for June 25

You are the Eternal One, the God of all power
And by Your sacrifice, You are now my true sovereign.
I come with gratitude at the start of my morning.
Give me that fellowship with You which grows more deeper.
Grant me Your protection from each sin and all evil.
Keep me from transgression lest I start to turn away
And serve another who has no love for mankind.
May I be unselfish in all my thoughts and actions.
Use me so others may come to know The Savior.
I pray You empower me to good works by Your Spirit.
Help me to champion in a work that is righteous.
Teach me to recognize the place where You are working,
And may I gratefully serve You as a way of worship,
So I can accomplish some good for my Lord's Kingdom.



We are made to know God and serve Him. This prayer offers the service of worship and expresses the desire to serve in actions and doing good. It is God's will that we do good works in his name he has even prepared the works for us to do.

"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10.

A PRAYER FOR INNER HOLINESS, Prayer for June 15

My Heavenly Father and God of All
You deliver any who come in faith
Your forgiveness humbles all who have sin.
Your purposes always prove You are love.
Let holiness become my most high goal.
Purge sinfulness away from all my thoughts.
Give victory over my doubts and fears,
And deliverance because Christ's died for me.
May worldly passions give way to faith.
Keep entrapments distant from this day's path.
May reflective quiet times give me sight,
And perception into Your love for me.
When struggling against things that are vain
I realize defeat comes by my strength
And understand success is by Your name.
Your fellowship changes who I will be-
New affections replace my dreams and plans,
And character develops where I had none.
Now proclaiming Jesus' love is my joy.
Let nothing obstruct my view of Christ.
Your wonderful beauties cause me to say,
I desire only to know my Lord.

My Heavenly Father, I thank You
For life and its many blessings.
Give me a mind to know Your will,
Go with me through today's journey,
And be my strength when I am weak.
Help me to love those You bring me,
And to be a blessing to all men.
Give me the gentle heart of Christ.
Make my hand eager to give help,
And to lift the burdens of others.
Guard me against the allure of sin.
Turn my path away from evil.
Let my every word be for You,

 A PRAYER TO KNOW GOD BETTER, A Prayer for June 27

I seek You O loving God;
Without You, I am lost
Helpless, and discontented.
I cannot know who I am
Until You teach me about
What it means to be in You.
You do not withhold Yourself
From those eager to know You.
Let your Spirit dwell in me
To teach me about Your love,
Goodness and Your holiness.
Let me be open to You
So I may hear Your voice speak
And understand Your Word.
Be my constant companion
Then I will know Your good ways.
Be in control of my life
So I can bear my burdens,
Overcome my temptations,
Be unselfish in service,
Turn away from every sin,
And grow into Christ-likeness.
Help me to obey Your will,
Joyous in my allegiance,
Following Your plans for me.
Call me when I go astray,
Correct me when I rebel,
Strengthen me when discouraged;
That I may conform to Christ-
Who must increase in my life

Prayer Of The Returning Disciple. Prayer For June 20th

PRAYER OF THE RETURNING DISCIPLE, Prayer for June 20

You, O God, are my Father.
King of all earth and heaven,
Good flows from You alone.
You give grace to the humble,*
In your hand are such blessings-
Of which man is not worthy.
On sin's dark path I stumble,
And far from You I wander;
But I see now and return,
And find that You will forgive
(For Christ made the payment)*
I know your love is waiting
To bless me and to restore.
God of might be my shield,
And guard me from all evil;
Be for me my Good Shepard.
When I face times of testing
I will seek You- my victor.
Guide my hand and my thinking;
May I hear Your voice whisper,
And go where You are leading.
May I put love on display
To guide men who are searching
For the True God worth serving.
May Christ walk with me today
As one would with his brother.



The structure of the poem is that each line has seven syllables and starts with a soft beat and ends with a soft beat each word us one syllable except for the last which is two with as hard soft beat.

A KINGDOM PRAYER, A prayer for June 1

Oh Holy Father in Heaven
Thank You for the gift of this day
And all its prospects for blessing.
Help my gratitude to be clear
By living wisely this one day.
May Jesus be king in my heart,
And let no sin to mute his voice.
Lord, look on the poor with favor,
Bless and heal those who are sick,
Relieve those who are suffering,
And motivate me to serve them.
May I be useful in Your hand
So that others may come to Christ.
Let Your righteous ones shine so bright
That Your truth may pierce the dark land.
Let the gospel go out freely,
So wars cease from the lives of men,
And greed is unknown on this earth,
And sin is cast from every heart.
May I use the gift of this day
To stand up and act for Your cause
And help bring on the blessed day
When Your peace will rule in all hearts.

May God's Kingdom Come, A prayer for June 5th

MAY GOD'S KINGDOM COME, Prayer for June 5

Heavenly Father, You are good.
I come with love and gratitude.
Thank You for the blessings You give,
Thank You for freedom of mind,
Thank You for the gift of today-
With opportunities to serve,
And to make the world better.
May I show my gratitude
By a life of obedience.
Let my work be in joy and faith.
Help me to live by convictions
And not by other's opinions.
Lord, free those who are oppressed;
Destroy those chains of heart and soul,
Shelter the fearful in Your arms,
Bring down things that harm Your children,
Aid those who are in mortal need,
Show Your love to the lonely ones,
Comfort those who are forgotten,
Show Your light to the discouraged,
Deliver Your children from sin,
And remove sin's scars from our hearts.
May Your joy and peace rule all hearts.
Guide all men to lives of love.
May we all lift our hands to serve
Each other's best and God's glory.
Bring Your Kingdom soon to the earth
Through the labors of godly men.



There are many different ideas about the time and place of God's kingdom, Jesus said it was "within you." (Luke 17:21). All agree God has prepared good works for us to do while we wait for his kingdom to be revealed, (Ephesians 2:10). The darkness and oppression around us is a battlefront where we combat evil with good.

At One With God, A Prayer June 22nd

AT ONE WITH GOD, Prayer for June 22

I rejoice, O Gracious Lord,
That You are willing to hear
When I call as Your child,
What ruler is so open
To his lowly subjects?
Thank you for Your great mercies
Beyond number and measure.
I come boldly yet again*
Your Word encourages me,
And I have seen Your blessings.
Thank You that I may come-
Not only on special days,
Or in places of prayer;
But I may bring every need
And desire to Your throne.
I may bring my heart to You,
And never be sent away
But find a gracious answer.
Grant forgiveness for my sin-
For You are all merciful;
You sent Christ to die for sin,
And offers love to mankind.
Stand with me in each trial,
Uphold me in temptation,
Give strength over my weakness,
Fulfill Your will in my life;
That I may have the blessing
Of being more like Jesus.


* Hebrews 4:16. Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

We are at one with God not because of our own attainment but because he is gracious he receives us and through the death of his son paid or our sins so we may have a relationship with him. When we have a life with God we start to agree with his will for our lives.

Show me divinity in all work.
Teach me the power of sympathy,
The might of righteousness before God,

Move my heart to care for the needy,
Help me bring aid to the suffering,
Let me lift up those who are lowly,
And to defend the oppressed ones.
Give me courage for adversity,
And faith in times of tribulation.
May I walk through this day peacefully-
So others may see and hope to find Your peace.
Let Your light to shine through all my days,

A little commentary: When God gives us blessing it is seldom for our own consumption, but so that we, in turn, may be stewards of that blessing to others.

PRAYER FOR A DEEPER FAITH LIFE, Prayer for June 29

Most Gracious Father, Giver of life
My life I gladly offer to You.
Every breath I draw comes from your hand,
I praise You for each moment I live.
Help my faith in You to grow fully,
May I trust You in the darkest night.
Your mercies renew afresh each dawn.
Show me Your will for my life this day.
You know what I need before I ask.
Grant me all that You see what I need.
Be refuge in my trials and want.
Keep me from doubting in Your goodness.
Please shelter me from evil and sin.
Teach me the depths of Your care for me,
That nothing harms me but by Your will;
Give Your peace lest I worry and fear,
That I may freely worship my Lord.
Give me passion in service to You.
Grant joy to me in walking with You,
Lead me to walk the holiest paths.
Please make my heart to be just like Yours
That Jesus' likeness imprints my ways.
In his name- he who gave all for me,
Your Divine Jesus, always my Lord.


A little commentary.

The poem tries to express a desire to experience God deeper in one's life. On one hand we need to affirm the truths we know about God and his goodness toward us and on the other hand we still need to have the attitude of seeking to know God better; prayer is a legitimate avenue to seek to know God better as are service, fellowship with a community of faith, and reading his Word.

O God, You give new beginnings daily.
You have given and seen the yesterdays,

Help me to turn away from past regrets,
Teach me to let go of former mistakes,
And repent of dwelling on past losses.
You are the God who gives back the lost years,
Years wasted, that the locust has eaten.*
Thank You for this day, and Your plans for it.
May I measure life in days and hours,
Thereby to live every single day well.
Free me from worries about tomorrow.

Prayer For A New Beginning.

You have given blessings overflowing.

Our God is a God of new beginnings. He never gives up on us and has a plan to give us victory in our trials. He is the God of second chances and third chances and fourth. God wants to give us victory and a new life. Jesus said, "I have come so that you might have life and have it abundantly." John 10:10.

Oh God, Dear Father, Your name is precious.
What a joy to take Your name on my lips,
May I dwell in Your place of love and care,
Let this confidence drive away all fear,
And may this faith in You give victory.
You defeat all enemies of my soul.
When I face a test, may I look to You
Remembering Your promises of help
And remind me that You are here with me.
Give me strength when my burdens are heavy,
For power to carry on comes from You.
May I be brave when I face affliction
Because in You I can find my success.
Whatever worries these times may bring me,
I know that Your grace will be sufficient.*
Whatever I do, may I bring You praise
May all my actions bear Your divine mark
As a witness on earth and in heaven.
I leave this most humble request before You
Where all true prayer in Your name belongs
In the shadow cast by Calvary's cross.

To Not Give Up, a Prayer 

A little commentary:

We all feel like giving up at some point or another. We reach the end of our resources and face a situation that is beyond our capabilities. The Lord is able; he has the resources, no matter what the problem is. Come to Jesus, He has already overcome the most significant difficulty in history; he overcame sin by his death on the cross. His resurrection demonstrates he is the Lord of victory who overcomes. When He becomes our Lord, we share in His victory.

Openness To God Prayer for June 8

OPENNESS TO GOD, A Prayer for June 8

O Lord, You are ever knocking

At the very door of my soul
Seeking entrance into my life.
Help me to listen for Your voice,
And to open my life to You.
What I want is an open heart;
Where You are admitted always,
Either in sunshine or shadow,
Whether it be happy springtime,
Or the chilling blasts of winter,

May I be open to God.

May I receive You joyfully.
Show me that what I need is You
More than all that You may give me
And You are more than all your gifts.
Help me to remember the fact
It is not trivial to You
To knock with nail-scarred hands-
The purchase price of admission.
So when You knock on my heart, Lord,
May I gladly open to You
And allow You home in my heart
A guest I never wish to lose.



A little commentary:

God desires to be an intimate part of our lives. He is always trying to get our attention and works the circumstances so we will either acknowledge his presence or cry out for it. We must be always willing to bring Jesus into our various activities to let him in. Jesus is worthy of coming in for he died for our sins by being nailed to the cross and enduring the wrath of God. Once Jesus comes into our hearts he will never leave and we would not want him to.

"Behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man hear my voice and let me in I will come into him and eat with him and he with me." Revelation 2:20.

Prayer For God To Use Me. June 28

Dear heavenly Father,
I come now in prayer,
And give joyful thanks
For My Savior Jesus;
The very Lamb of God
Sacrificed for my sin.
I come with confession
And mourn for my sin,
Only You can cleanse me,
And fit me to serve you.
May I serve faithfully.
Let me sense Your presence,
And see clearly Your lead.
May I feel Your peace,
And walk in Your favor.
Use me in Your service.
I will be Your temple,
Filled by Your Spirit;
Giving You the worship
Of living Sacrifice.
My lips shall speak for You,
My hands shall work for You,
My heart shall beat for You.
My feet will bear Your light
To the ones in darkness.
I am Yours, please use me
To bring Your Kingdom near,
And proclaim Your Gospel,
That all know Jesus Christ
As their True King and Lord.
