PRAYER FOR THE DIVINE BLESSING
Prayer For June 11
You are my Creator and provider,
I seek Your blessing on this new day.
Bless me as I go out and come back.
Show me how to live a noble life-
And to love greatly as You would have.
Fill my mind with worthy purposes.
Show me divinity in all work.
Teach me the power of sympathy,
The might of righteousness before God,
And the virtue of integrity.
Move my heart to care for the needy,
Help me bring aid to the suffering,
Let me lift up those who are lowly,
And to defend the oppressed ones.
Give me courage for adversity,
And faith in times of tribulation.
May I walk through this day peacefully-
So others may see and hope to find Your peace.
Let Your light to shine through all my days,
So I may shine Your light before men.*
A little commentary: When God gives us blessing it is seldom for our own consumption, but so that we, in turn, may be stewards of that blessing to others.
