Prayer for December 28

O God, I look to Your power.
And I hope in Your great mercy.
As I lift my eyes to heaven
I do not doubt that You redeem
All who take the gift You promise
Of new life in the name, Jesus.
You take my hand through the darkness,
To give me new hope and courage,
It was in the times of trials
That I learned You are my helper.
Let me find joy in Your presence.
I long to know Your ways better.
Help me to know You are present.
You make all of my fears vanish.
I come to You for fresh cleansing
From my sins and from my errors-
Some in word and some in action.
May You bless all my weak efforts
As I seek how to bless others.
May I learn Your ways of goodness,
And walk the path of the servant.
I am in need of Your guidance
To make me true to Your purpose
And bring to Your great name glory.

A Prayer Of Personal Service Out Of Devotion, Prayer for December 13

Dear God, You alone have all power
You are my Father, King, and Maker;
And You sent Jesus as my Savior,
Through whose death evil is conquered

And he gives power to live anew-

Who else is worthy of my worship? 

May I walk always in his footsteps.
May I give Your kingdom my best effort.
Give me joy today in Your service.
Give me both blessing and Your guidance.
Grant that I become good and noble.
Keep me from actions that are selfish,
And make me willing to take burdens
Off of the shoulders of Your children.
By Your grace forgive where I sinned,
And watch my pathway lest I stumble.
Free me from all envy, fear, and folly.
Grant me Your power in my weakness.
Help me to obey all Your commands.
And bring You honor and true Glory.

A Pray that I May Dedicate All I Do To The Lord.
A Prayer for the Day. December 22

My Merciful God, and my Father,
With gratitude, I come to worship.
You created man for Your glory
And ennobled man by Your image,
I acknowledge You as my Master.
My obedience is more an honor
Than performance of a dread duty,
For surrender to You means freedom.
My affections seem to be shallow
In comparison to Your Great mercy.
The agenda of my life always
Was perfected in Your good design;
The purposes of Your will becomes
The desire of my sole being.
I joyfully face this day's trials
With knowledge, they bring me closer
In fellowship to God my Savior.*
You empower for the day's duties,
All employment then must be holy-
Let whatever I do be reverent.
Let awareness of all Your blessings
Then overflow in words of praises
That everywhere men come to believe
The glorious hope in the gospel.

A Prayer for December 15

God, You are my Creator
And You are love,
So You made us to know love.
I believe love is Your will,.
May I not be ashamed
Of the need to be loved
For love is Your design.
Lord, I  believe You love me,
And want me to experience it.
I believe it is the greatest love.
Father, I accept Your love
And I receive love by faith.
Help me to understand Your love
Even if I don't feel it.
May Your love makes me loving,
May I no longer seek to feel loved
But to be love to others.
Thank You for loving me

And giving me the power to love.

A Prayer To Be The Light.
December 2nd

You are my God and Father in Heaven,
Your love for me is always a comfort-
A love I know through Jesus my Savior.
Christ is light to this world of darkness
And You have brought me into Your brilliance.
Help my faith to increase and mature.
Guard my way lest I stumble or wander.
Lord, teach me how to become more thankful.
May I be glad to obey Your commands.
Give me hope, love, and passion for virtue.
This day I will face troubles and trials
But help me keep my focus on Jesus,
May I find in him power and resolve
To shine His light more brightly through testing;
For this may be Your design for blessing.
Let not my life deny by actions
When I by my lips declare Your Lordship.
We are to be lights shining for others
Help me to be more faithful to proclaim
That I have come to You alone as Savior.
May You use me to promote Your glory,
Which is Christ who gives freedom from darkness.

My Confidence is in God, Prayer for December 20

O My Heavenly Father I come
With much gratitude stirring my heart
For Your protection over my ways.
Let Your watchfulness comfort my mind,
And Your almighty power give hope.
You bless whoever persists in faith,
Help me continue looking to You.
I know whatever trial I face
I have confidence because of You,
For You understand fully my need.
You inspire courage to go
And face another challenge of life.
When the difficult problem brings fear
Help me remember success is Yours
And that victory awaits my prayer.
May no transgression remove Your light
Or sin separate servant and Lord.
Help me dedicate myself to You
As Your worshipful child this day.

The Prayer For Universal Unity, Prayer for December 5

Lord, Father, You are all-seeing;
But people blind their eyes thinking
That only their cares should matter.
We forget that we have union
Through Jesus one to each other.
We focus on how we differ.
We possess each our own makeup
With backgrounds that make us unique,
And travel on paths that diverge-
Let's acknowledge it and not condemn.
Your design for our lives vary
Yet sovereign plans must be holy.
Make open our eyes to burdens
That brothers are forced to carry.
Let's esteem their fall with mercy
Let actions of grace be given;
For having done it to another
Is counted as to our Savior.*
You abide where men are humble,
There working to make us brothers
Through vision of God and Jesus.
The image of the Good Shepherd,
That suffered for the sheepfold,
Will become our new true likeness
And fashion us as one kindred.

A Prayer For God To Lead, Prayer for December 8

Heavenly Father I bow before You;
I fear to enter this day without prayer.
My need of You is tugging at my heart,
Lead me, in the way you would have me go.
I am conscious of Your presence with me.
May I walk with You this day as a friend,
May each step be lit by the light of truth.
Embrace me in Your omnipotent care,
As I go to the duties of this life.
Help me to know The Spirit's still small voice,
May I hear it calling me to Your best.
You are the light that falls upon my path-
Directing me to make the right choices,
Let your Spirit guide me far from error.
And reveal to me Your Son, Jesus;
The Christ whose blood paid for all of my sins.
I give You the humble love of my heart
And gratitude for all of these blessings.
May my life be a blessing unto to all.
And bring me home to receive Your "Well done."*

A Prayer of Preparation. A Prayer for December 17

Almighty and most merciful One,
In humbleness I bow before You;
In awe of Your power and Your love,
Thankful for Your gifts and compassion,
Dependent on Your care and mercy.
Merciful Father, forgive my sins,
They are many and cause me ruin.
Protect me from temptation today.
In Your wisdom guide my ways aright,
Be the success of all that I do.
Bless the fruit of my daily labor.
Lift my eyes above this passing earth,
To see beyond this near horizon;
And to work for Your greater kingdom.
Show me where I may do some kind act-
A deed to grace the name of Jesus.
May Your spirit prove fruitful in me,
Filling me with faith, hope, and love-
To bless my service unto You.

This is a general prayer for an average day. Every day we should humble ourselves before God we always need his help and power. We always should be thankful for his gifts. We need to keep our eyes not on this world but the kingdom we serve. We must be careful not to sin but seek his forgiveness when we do.  We must receive the Holy Spirit's work of bringing fruit in our lives and all this leads us to the point where we can serve him and be of service to others.

Lord Jesus, You are confidence.
Thank you for Your presence today.
I bless You, All-seeing Savior,
You understand my every fear.
Help my struggle against this sin.
Teach me how it destroys my life,
Forgive me where I have failed
I can only hope for mercy 

Because Christ't blood paid for my sin.
Keep doubts from entering my heart.
Worries make me forget Your care.
Fear robs me of Your promises.
Oh, Lord, in Your mercy help me.
Give me faith to see you clearly
And to find hope by your presence.
Help me to cast aside my cares,
And to trust You like a child.
Fill me with faith in my Savior.
And confidence in His power.

Fill Me With The Holy Spirit. A Prayer for 12/1

O Lord, I acknowledge you as my True Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth.
How rich are you provisions to all mankind.
I bow and humbly give thanks to You, O God,
You are the Father of my Savior Jesus Christ,
Who has revealed our great love to sinners;
Through Whom I have become your child of faith,
And have received the forgiveness of my sins.
Continue to show Your loving favors to me.
Let me live in the power of the Spirit.
Keep me from sin so that I do not grieve him.
Enable the Holy Spirit as my guide;
May he lead me each day into every truth.
May he comfort in the time of sorrow.
May he give me strength whenever I am weak.
May he raise me up if I fall by the way.
May he interpret your Holy Word to me.
May he lead me in the fellowship of prayer.
May he enable me to do Your goodwill,
And fill my days with joy and gladness of heart.


A little commentary:
The Holy Spirit is given as a gift as part of the gift of salvation to those who have received Jesus as their savior. He leads us in the spiritual walk that is foreign to our natural minds.

A Prayer For My Family. A Prayer for December 1 

We praise You for You are the Heavenly Father,
Who in divine wisdom ordained this family.
Thank You for binding this family together.
Thank You for the sweet love that has formed it,
And thank you that Your awesome power sustains it.
We bless You for our mother's travail and love,
And for our father's diligent faithful toil.
We ask you, Lord, take Your place as head of this home.
Watch over these loved ones with grace and mercy.
Meld us as one by our common joys and sorrows.
Let none become estranged by distance or offense.
Help us each to lift up one another's burdens.
Forgive our transgressions, and from folly guard us.
Give us our daily bread and strength for each day's task.
May all memories of this home be sweet and dear.
We commit every one of us into Your hands.
May the next generation know their father's God,
And give faithful service to the Lord all their days.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, this family's king.

A little commentary: I suggest you read this prayer a few times and after you feel agreeable to it then pray it in your own words.  You may print it and take it with you.

Family starts with God the Father of families. His son died on the cross to pay for our sins so we may be included in the divine family by faith in Jesus. God brings families together and he is the ultimate focus and purpose of family. The family is a testimony of the love and mercy of God. Prayer Of The Pilgrim, Prayer for December 15


Almighty King and living God,
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
I rejoice to be Your child.
Look with love and mercy on me,
Keep me in Your loving embrace.
Give grace to resist the devil,
And to stand against all his works.
Lead me away from temptation,
Guard me from the lust of the flesh,
Shield me from the traps of sin.
Keep my path straight through this world.
Make me diligent in my work,
And faithful in my character
Keep me patient under trial,
Calm me when I feel anxious,
Guide me to peace when tested.
In sickness be my healing,
In every weakness be my strength.
Unto you I offer each thought.
May my every word be for You,
And let each act serve You alone,
Be You the blessing of my ways.

It is a simple prayer and full of reliance on God, it is not the prayer of a celebrity leader but of a common person who seeks to live for God in their daily living. It asks God to help us to be faithful to him while being in a world that is not, because we are in the world but not of it.  We want to oppose the evils we see around us, and we also must gain victory over the old sin nature in us, and in this prayer we acknowledge God is the source that overcomes both.

I hope you are encouraged by this little prayer. Meditate on its statements, and pray it in your own words.

Father, in Heaven You are Lord of all
May You watch over mankind with patience,
Give me strength to overcome all evil,
Help me to cleave to those things which are good.
Help me shine Your light by noble deeds
So men may see them and give You worship.
Bless those who toil humbly in Your name,
And bless all who serve Your kingdom of love.
Give more laborers a vision to serve,
Bless the many efforts by those of faith.
Favor our nation and those who guide it.
Give our leaders rare virtue and wisdom,
And add to their hearts courage to do right,
Grant them vision for the best of our land;
Help them to promote righteousness at home,
And set a standard of virtue for all.
Watch over all the nations of the earth,
May their statesmen be fountains of blessing,
Bring peace and harmony to all nations.
Let the knowledge of the Lord fill the earth.
May all men have freedom to worship God.
And to live lives of peace, and to prosper.
May each heart bow to the Prince of Peace,
And every hand serve Christ- the King of Kings.
