I Am Weak

I Am Weak.

Lord God, Creator and preserver of all things.
I humbly bow before you in awe and worship
I have no reason to hope you regard me.
I cannot earn your favor or pay for it.
I stand before you by the merit of another-
He who suffered and died on the cross for me.
Thank you for past blessings which You gave,
for all I have that is good comes from You.
I am weak, and wicked if left alone.
Forgive my sins which are so many,
Show me the sins I refuse to see.
Meet my needs and temper my wants
Teach me contentment with what You Give.
Draw me ever closer to Your side.
Be my friend, counselor and guide.
Fill my heart with true love for God.
Give me passion for Your interest.
Grant me skill to work for Your kingdom.
May Your Light Shine through my life;
So whoever I meet may see only You,
And be drawn to Jesus my Loving Savior.

Desert Mode, A Poem

Desert Mode, A Poem

Maybe the desert holds the answer,
to the question of how I must live.

It is a place, that wasteland,
There the faithful seek and meet with God.

Wilderness gives birth to great prophets,
Jesus fasted there and was tested.

I need to get in the “desert mode,”
and live simply yet with devotion,

I must purge what draws me away,
for I long to hear the heart of God.

I am far from there yet I consider
that I can live in the “desert mode.”

A Prayer For God's Hand To Touch You. Psalm 73:23 NIV

A Prayer For God to Touch You

Lord, deliver me from the sin that robes me
Of the joy of Your touch.
You forever are holding out Your hand
For me to take hold of.
Lead me by my hand through this sad darkness,
Keep me safe by Your side.
When I am afraid and small may I realize
Who holds my hand in His.
Let me not forget the closeness of the God
Who stays always with me.
Thank You that You are the God who holds me,
And You will not let go.

“Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand.” Psalm 73:23 NIV.

A PRAYER FOR OPENNESS

A Prayer For Openness

Dear God who is good,
You say come and be welcomed.
I am prepared to be open.
I am ready to give you a chance.
Please conquer my prejudice
About the kind of God you are.
Show me the true You.
I am willing to make the effort.
I ask that I may know You
As God who is truly good.
May I know Your blessing.
May I find You as my refuge.
Thank You Father.
Amen

THE WAY OF THE DISCIPLE

The Way of The Disciple

Dear Savior, and Kind Shepherd
Lead me in Your true pathway
Of the humble disciple.
Teach me the art of living,
But I am so slow to learn.
I am tempted to follow
A map-less heart beat rhythm,
And I drift on the ice-flow
Of a god blinded age.
Be ever patient with me,
Rebuild my broken parts
Into Your perfect image.
May I sit at Your scarred  feet,
And learn Your holy lessons.
Teach me how self-sacrifice,
Meekness, and boldness,
Foster in me humility,
Fervor, boldness, and love.
Let me learn from Your life
And a live my life with You
Until my actions are Yours.
Let me gaze upon Your face
Until I am transformed
And the sheep and Shepherd
At last become as one.

A PRAYER FOR PEACE

A prayer for peace is a prayer written by the Poet of Faith. It is a prayer written like a devotional poem and expresses a desire for the Peace of God to dwell with men and rule the nations.  Read it a few times then pray it in you own words.

A PRAYER FOR PEACE

Father,
Look down from Heaven
Upon this troubled world
Shepherd us, Your children
To pastures of peace.
Renew in each of us daily
A vision of hope for all.
Direct us to put our hands
To the labor of virtue.
Pour the spirit of good will
Upon all mankind,
Until every one of us
Enlist in the cause of peace
And to gladly sacrifice
For its advent on earth.
Lead us to work for that day
When all the nations of men
Are kingdoms of our Lord,
And the spirit of Christ
Rules in every heart.
