Prayer For Forgiveness
Oh God of Justice and of mercy
I have not yet received your complete forgiveness
I am guilty of sins against you and others
I know Jesus died to pay for my sins
And rose from the dead- proving he is victorious.
I trust Jesus to be my Savior from guilt and punishment
I receive your forgiveness and accept your blessing
From now on I will gladly serve you my Savior.
I thank you Father for sending your Son to die for me
Thank you for the blessing of forgiveness.

A little commentary. Sin is an ugly word, so is guilt, and shame; and we don't want to think about it; we feel that those who talk about sin are judgmental. But what about forgiveness? Forgiveness is beautiful and wonderful it is liberating and empowering. God offers forgiveness because he first offered his son to pay for the price of our sin. Because Jesus death satisfied the judgment of God against sin we can start a new life of freedom and beauty in love and service.
