The Pilgrim's Purpose
May I follow the path
of the Compassionate One.
May my ears be open
to the call of the weak.
May my eyes see
the need of those suffering.
May my heart be ready
to respond to the mournful.
May I be strengthened
to help the helpless.
May I gladly sacrifice
my comforts for the needy.
May I be willing to give
all the me of myself
in the name of Jesus.
